The 5th General Assembly of NeoGiANT was convened concurrently with the 9th Steering Committee meeting at Českých Budějovicích, Czech Republic on the 27th and 28th day of May. The convocation was hosted by our ally — University of Bohemia and backed by Veterinary Research Institute (VRI).
Partners were all present— in full capacity, for both the physical and virtual meeting; it marked a six-month review where they each presented their achievements, toasted successful milestones, and ironed out challenges stalling their work packages. We are now in month 32 of the project; hence we have crossed the equator. Challenges do not seem to wane and we keep attracting them like a magnet, however results are coming to light and both coasts contribute to our progress equally.
The NeoGiANT consortium is a pinnacle of organizational and communication efficiency, helping us stride purposefully hand in hand towards our common goals. Our aim is to secure animal populations from diseases that strike both from land and sea— thus quelling the rise and spread of antimicrobial resistances. With an avant-garde approach towards introducing innovative systems in animal healthcare, we pledge not just sustainability but substantial participation towards international efforts on global health.
The General Assembly turned out to be highly successful and helped in strengthening the commitment of all parties involved, which will allow us to work together effectively and actively towards achieving our goals.
Take the chance and exchange experiences and knowledge about the importance of finding sustainable alternatives to reduce AMR.
